TURNING PARTS
We provide your production with all types of turned parts from a single source!
As a (so to speak) manufacturer, we offer you tailor-made solutions for the production of turned parts, based on your specifications, production drawings or samples. Our many years of market experience and our extensive supplier network enable us to select the optimal manufacturing process for you. From small to large series, we supply simple to high-precision turned parts made from a wide range of materials with different surface treatments, always in proven NORM+DREH quality.
Benefit from our expertise in the area of turned parts & milled parts
Based on your specifications, using a production drawing or on the basis of samples, we select the optimal turning technology for you and offer you a suitable production solution. Our company has its origins in our own production of turned parts. With over 50 years of market experience, a variety of individual turned parts have gone through our system and we have been able to sustainably expand our expertise in this sector.
Turned & milled parts manufacturing to suit your needs
The selection of the appropriate manufacturing process plays a decisive role, particularly in the area of turned parts manufacturing, and has a significant influence on effective pricing. Thanks to our in-house experience and our long-standing network of suppliers, we have access to a wide range of machinery, ranging from traditional camshaft lathes to multi-spindle lathes and modern CNC lathes and machining centers.
Precision machined parts according to your specifications
Different lathes can be produced by lengthwise turning, longitudinal turning, plane turning (transverse plane turning), round turning, contour turning, lancing turning (slicing, grounding turning), form turning, profile turning, simple to complicated turned parts in accordance with customer requirements.
Precision machined parts
Fine-turned parts or even small turned parts are not quite as small and fine as micro-turned parts, but also high-precision turned parts, which usually range in the following dimensions:
- Length L ≤ 120 mm
- Diameter Ø ≤ 20 mm
- Mass ≤ 1 kg
Such fine turned parts are also referred to as precision small parts, precision small turned parts, precision fine turned parts. However, we can also produce micro-scale small turned parts using curve-controlled lathes. The machines, which are simple compared to lathes with CNC control, allow the production of micro-turned parts in large series with low production costs and the highest part quality. The variety is very large, especially in very small dimensions ranging from 0.5 to 3.00 mm in diameter!
Long turning parts
Long-turned parts are elongated, slender, thinly turned parts with a small turning diameter and a defined maximum length. The associated turning process originally comes from the watch industry and is used to produce long, slim parts off the bar (raw part) as a rod part or wire (raw part).
These usually include the following dimensional ranges:
- Length L ≤ 200 mm
- Diameter Ø from ≥ 0.5 mm to ≤ 5 mm
- Mass ≤ 1 kg
Depending on the raw material, they can be round parts or polygonal parts, such as square parts, hexagonal parts, octagonal parts. In traditional long turning, the material moves along the Z-axis on a moving headstock; the workpiece is stationary.
Chuck lathe parts
Chuck parts are turned parts whose diameter is approximately the same as the length. These are usually larger dimensional ranges. Drilling and milling work can be carried out within a set-up.
Chuck parts are manufactured using machines equipped with loading robots as well as a C-axis and driven tools. Depending on batch sizes, portal loader assembly or manual assembly is possible. In practice, saw, cast and forged blanks are often processed into machined parts. The front and back are processed correctly. Our advantage here is access to machinery from various manufacturers, which combines all manufacturing functions available on the market under one roof. Varying machine languages can make the operating process a bit more complex, but at the end of the day, a better price level can be achieved.
Chuck turned parts from production with up to 8 axes, including complex processing, are not uncommon.
The dimensional range here is often in the following region:
- Diameter 5 - up to 620mm
- Length: up to 1000mm
multi-spindle parts
With powerful multi-spindle lathes, professional simultaneous production can be carried out confidently. Machining centers with six or eight moving spindles and intelligent automation create the basis for efficient high-volume turned parts. Here, the dimensional ranges are mostly in the following regions:
- Turning range for multi-spindle turned parts Ø 2—50 mm
- Turning length for multi-spindle turned parts 2—140 mm
single-spindle lathe parts
Single-spindle turned parts are the classic in machining — and there is still no alternative in many end applications. In addition to the comparatively low amount of work required for operation and handling, single-spindle CNC lathes are also increasingly allowing the processing of complex precision parts. This allows current machine models to be equipped with up to 25 different tools. Thanks to moving spindle heads, flexibility in processing remains relatively high.
Here, the dimensional ranges are usually in the following range:
- Turning range for single-spindle turned parts Ø 2—65 mm
- Turning length for single-spindle turned parts 2—200 mm
With classic single-spindle ring lathes, we achieve exceptionally high production cycle times at our direct production sites. Here, we can focus specifically on contours such as chamfers, grooves and grooves, as well as knots and lugs. From small to medium and especially large series, everything is possible. According to our experience in the market, even on German soil, price levels are still possible that can keep up with Asian offers!
